I’m Thinking About Changing

One of Cincinnati’s top local bands, Staggering Statistics, apparently broke up sometime last summer, but never gave any sort of official announcement as to what happened. If I recall correctly, CityBeat wrote about a paragraph stating that they broke up but didn’t say anything else. Their MySpace and official website also don’t even say that the band no longer exists.

Well about two weeks ago I stumbled upon their website and saw that they are offering their latest album as a free download. I finally got around to listening to it today and I must say that I’m really impressed. I think it’s stronger than anything they’d put out before. The production is better, the musicianship and songwriting are better, Austin’s voice sounds better.

So what went wrong? The world may never know.
